  1. Hi,
My name is MaryJoyce (MJ) from group dynamics class. I will be helping you with any concerns you may have regarding college life and even college professors. So feel free to ask any questions.

To maintain high grades depends on how much effort that is placed on the work for the class and time management. Try doing homework as soon as possible when it is given. This way less stress. Study at least two weeks before exams or 1- 2 hours everyday (which you only study what was mentioned in class). Reread all your notes before class starts. For exams, its best to have a group study so you will better understand the material, since you might be explaining it to your friends or classmates in the group.

I suggest to read the book before class (which can be broken down, like read 5 pages in the morning and the rest at night) and during class, ask questions. Write good notes (meaning not only the ones the professor wrote on the board, but what they say as well).

If you do not understand what is being presented in class, turn to the textbook, visit your professor on their office hours or visit a tutor for the subject in the college (which is free).

Sometimes your friends might not want to study and would like to do something else. When you are in college, you really have to put school work first, because you are paying for it and the grades you get will determine whether you will be accepted in other colleges. So try your best. If your friends are really friends, they will understand you and you will not lose them. Good luck.- MJ
